Buzwah Fisheries is an Indigenous owned rainbow trout aquaculture site founded in 1997 by Benjamin Kanasawe, located on Wikwemikong First Nation.
Ben Kanasawe chose the location of Buzwah Fisheries using traditional knowledge passed down from his family. Buzwah Fisheries currently has two sites adjacent to each other, with a total of 32 cages. All stock is cared for by a dedicated staff. The farm became BAP-certified in 2018.
On average, Buzwah Fisheries sees over one million fish through their system per year.
